The next wave of releases from the Nike @wearecultivator series is dropping this weekend as today we give you a look at one of the sneakers from this drop. Up above we get a look at the Nike Air Max 1 “Por La Familia” (For The Family) designed by Mark Lopez.
Lopez was born and raised in Los Angeles and currently resides in Arizona and he chose the iconic Air Max 1 as his silhouette for his design. The shoe features a white mesh upper along with suede detailing on the Air Max 1 Pink and sail hits and leather on the Air Max 1 Red Swoosh. Lopez’s Air Max 1 is dedicated to the women in his life that help raised and and molded Mark into the man he has become today. The colors on the shoe have a significance as the pink represents the women who raised him (his mother and aunts), the red and Air Max 1 Green are a symbol of his Mexican heritage, and the gold accent on the back of the shoe represents the “Coat of Arms” in the Salvadorian flag.
The Nike Air Max 1 Por La Familia by Mark Lopez will be available beginning November 1st until November 10th and will retail for $130. You will be able to purchase the shoe HERE if you’re interested beginning 11/1.
